Transport Women Australia Limited has achieved excellent reputation as an organisation which is keen to work constructively with other organisations.
This is evidenced by being Members of the Australian Trucking Association (ATA) – the peak body for transport in Australia.
Memberships with American Women in Trucking and UK Women in Logistics show that International relations are increasing our relevance on the World Stage.
Our members have represented up and women in the trucking industry at many industry events and forums over the years as both speakers and presenters.
These events range from Trucking Industry conventions and conferences to associated industry events such as the Bus Industry Conference, Skilling Summits and our own member functions and forums.
Since 2006 we have produced some of the Industry’s best conference sessions at our own conferences held in both Melbourne and Brisbane. Our unique events are geared towards women working in and with the transport industry, whilst still holding interest for male attendees.
Meetings and networking functions are held independently and with like minded organisations in most states and capital cities as well as in regional areas.
It is the belief of the board that day to day organisational operations need to be responsive enough to address developing as well as established issues to effectively represent women in the industry.
By acknowledging the fact that the perception and approach of women can be a vastly different one, Transport Women Australia Ltd had the potential to tackle things on a different basis whilst working in conjunction with others.
