The TWAL Mentoring Program has been reinvigorated as a result of membership feedback received at the TWAL Conference 2018.

With a conference theme of “Creating Connections”, and a link back to the TWAL Constitution, the mentoring program had been on the agenda for some time to support members and improve industry connections.

The TWAL Chair, Jacquelene Brotherton, has always been passionate about Mentoring within the Transport Industry and particularly for women within the industry. At the 2018 TWAL Conference, with a theme of “Creating Connections” it was evident that the benefits of mentoring on career progression fuelled the drive to relaunch the TWAL Mentoring program. A Sub-Committee was created, and the program launch will coincide with the TWAL Gala Dinner in November 2019.

Moving forward, the goal of the program is to provide TWAL members with access to mentoring relationships that encourages personal and professional growth through the facilitation of knowledge, experience, support and guidance. The program hopes to also promote professional development among staff entering the workforce and provide opportunities for a career path within the Transport Industry.
